Jamaican born Marsha-lee Palmer otherwise known as Marz” is bound to energetically engage your airwaves with the love for all genres of music on the turntables. She is considered one of Cayman’s finest radio personalities/deejay specializing in Reggae, Soca, Hip Hop, Dancehall and Club Top 40 Hits.
MarshaLee is a past student of the John Gray High School in the Cayman Islands. Her journey and obsession for music led her to mastering the art of “mixing” with a unique and sometimes over the edge way of expressing herself with an ecstatic yet “synchronizing” party vibe.
Over the years VJ Marz gained her professional hosting and mixing experiences by highlighting major bookings as the supreme host and often DJ of headlined Concerts in Jamaica/Cayman working with the likes of Gregory Isaac, Terry Linen, Tarrus Riley, Konshens, Sean Paul, Popcaan, Beenie Man, Movado, Tami Chin to name a few.
Inspired by the fusion of expression and the airwave content delivery she started her Communications studies at Knox College in Mandeville-Jamaica 2002 and her actual career in 2004. Thereafter, Marshalee set out on a career path in search for greatness and to challenge all odds as a female in the entertainment industry, and so the uprising talent started within the entertainment segment as an Entertainment/Event coordinator at Margaritaville, Negril/Mobay/Turks and Caicos, whilst also strengthening her radio talent on a popular radio station in Westmorland, Savanna-la-mar as a dynamic host for a morning show called “Rise and Shine” to which she flag-shipped for many years. At that time she was popularly known only as Marshalee. She has dealt with different aspects of radio and her shows from Production, to International Voicing Sessions, and even Singing and Sound Checks.
You can catch DJ Marz Monday – Friday from 12PM – 1PM on Z99’s Power Lunch.
